Monday's Ride!!

This morning I got to ride:) I went out and got Navajo and bridled him..I got on him..He didn't walk forward until I asked for it..I was impressed. I decided to do something different and go down the strip..He walked on very nicely and with his head down..very willing. He was being a bit stubborn about listening to my leg cues to move over but he did ok:) We turned the corner and I got him to trot..We did quite a bit of trotting. He didn't want to listen to me when trotting so I got him to back up nicely for me and also flex..The flexing and backing up were to get his attention..Once I did those things he was willing to listen to me again. Over all it was a useful session..More for fun but also to see how he was acting. Once we were back here again I got off and got him to back up....move his hindquarters and flex..he did everything I asked:) I was very pleased. We have revivals this week every evening so I will probably be riding in the morning. Have a great day.
