Sunday's Ride!

I did get to ride after all:) I was not sure if I would or not as I had my cousins here and my cousin wanted to ride:) So since I had a very very dirty horse we had our work cut out for us..We groomed him and then I got on him and took him down the strip..I walked the whole way down till I got to the corner..Then I asked for a trot..I asked him to go faster and he let out a buck..Funny horse. Never did that before that I can remember. He has been in since Wednesday of last week:(

So I rode for a bit and did a lot of trotting along the bottom part of the field. Then he galloped back...THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! Have not done that in a while. Then since we were almost back he wanted to run back to the barn..Well we did circles. Then I asked for him to move his hindquarters and HE MOVED THEM..BOTH SIDES...It took a bit for him to do so but he did it and I was really happy.

Then we went back and put the saddle on so my cousin could ride..Well first I persuaded her to ride bareback..she had fallen off one time when bareback and never got on since then. I told her she wouldn't regret it if she got on..She got on and she was glad she did..Then we went and got the saddle:)Now with the saddle on she could ride..hehe...So I took her down the strip..I was walking beside her and Navajo. We went down the strip the whole way to the corner, turned the corner and then we trotted..We trotted a couple of times then walked back:) We took the saddle off and groomed him then turned him out..Over all it turned out better and more fun than I expected.
