Pictures of Navajo

Most of these pictures were taken last week sometime..Only now am updateing my blog:) Sorry about the length of time it took to finally get an update out:)
No riding lately either..I did get to ride a little the other day. I had some trash in my hand and so I took it out to Navajo..He didn't even blink an eylash:) So I was like ok he doens't seem to mind this trash so I am going to take it with me and put it in the dumpster:) I put it on his back and he flinched a bit but didn't move. So I got on and he didn't go till I told him to go forward. He waited at the gait till I opened it so we could go thru. Then I took him over to the dumpster. He seemed a bit nervous about the dumpster but he still did good. We rode around the farm a little and did some trotting.
Then Sunday I just walked him around the farm talking to him and spending time with Navajo. Then I groomed him. :) It was an awesome time spent with him:)

Went to the youth Saturday Night!! and had an awesome time..We played volleyball and had four teams..two playing and the other two waiting for the first teams to finish since we only had one court. Then the winners would play and the loosers would play each other:):)It was like a volleyball tournament..The winners and loosers would play then we would number off again and play another round:) Met a lot of nice people as well. Really much fun!! We played till around 11 and We got home around 12 or so..I stayed at my friends house and then went to church with her. Looking forward to the next activity already!!

Adventure!

I had quite the adventurous morning..I went out around 9 and was our for a half hour taking pictures and making sure Navajo was alright..Then I came in ate breakfast (ham, eggs, and homefries) and then headed out again..I took care of Navajo and was in around 10:30. I was on here a bit to check my e-mails and saw I got HOTD again..Which was really cool as I hadn't been trying:) So I made a nice picture of HOTD and then washed dishes, cleaned off the porch and shoveld the walks a bit. Then came in and was writing Abby back and my aunt came over..She was outside and I went out to her and we were talkin about the snow and different things like that then she was like Hey want to go up and look if Schoeneck is still closed. We had heard that it was snowed shut yet. Schoeneck is about a mile away. This is my aunt Barb who helped you with your quilt question. Anyway we walked up there and a tractor trailer truck was stuck on the hill :D So I went and got my uncle and he was going to help pull the truck out..so we (my aunt and Rose Mary and I) kept walking up to Schoeneck..Don't know how long it took but we came back after comfirming Schoeneck was opened and taking pictures (biggest adventure we had in a while..NEVER EVER walked down the middle of Schoneck road without having to worry about being run over:D) and found they still hadn't dug the truck out yet..He was in the middle of the road and it wasn't like he ran off or anything..he just ran thru some deep sno and was packed in..Home and My uncle dug him out with a skid loader and shovels..He got out alright:):) Pretty cool to watch. Anyway got home edited some pictures, updated my blog, and ate dinner and now am writing you :D Quite the morning

BIG SNOW!

Field across the road

Snow banks along the big hill
in the village of Schoeneck..about a mile above our house
this is in Schoeneck which is about a mile above our place

This hill was blown shut by the winds yesterday..It was inaccessable last evening and was only opened early this morning. That is why they have huge banks..and if we get more wind they will blow shut again:(
Along the big hill.

Empyt road..very unusual for our road which is normally a two lane busy road.

toward the road.
across the road lookin into our driveway.

We got another 20 or so inches on top of the 22 we had before (these are approxamate estimates as we had some big huge drifts!!)!! It is kinda hard to measure as we had a ton of wind which made it very miserable to be out yesterday. Wind and snow together are no fun. So today if I haven't been on HC (Thanks to all for HOTD) yet or e-mail it is because we were digging ourselves out :D And I mean that literally!! The hill was blown shut since we are kinda in a gully. Our road is usually a two lane road but now is a one lane not so busy road..Very unusual to be able to walk down the middle of the road without having vehicles..Never ever did that before in my life!! TOO COOL! Navajo is fine and nice and warm inside his shed..It is windy again..hehe I wouldn't be surprised our hill will be blowed shut again. And it sounds like we are getting more snow over the weekend :D :D Like we need it!! Enjoy the pictures!

Riding Navajo in the Snow!!

This is where I rode so it was safe to ride..This way Navajo didn't have to make way:)
I wasn't sure I was going to ride in the 2 feet of snow but I did :) But I mainly wanted some pictures of me and Navajo..My sister Rose Mary took the pictures for me!!
