Riding

Last evening I did get a chance to ride Navajo. My cousins (and one of their friends) came and wondered if they could ride. I said I didn't mind. So first I saddled him up for them and I got on and warmed him up a bit. Then my cousin Melanie got up on. We rode around a little with me by Navajo's head. He just followed me around which was really nice. Then she asked if we could trot and I asked him for a trot. He did very well. Then her friend wanted a ride so I gave her one to. They went for supper and asked if after they were done eating if they could ride. I said sure. So I loosened the saddle and took off the bridle and let him eat till they came out. When they came out I led her friend down the strip and then they wanted me to show them how the lunging works. We did that a bit then I got on him and showed them how to do posting and how the canter looks. Then Melanie rode a bit. After we were all done riding I turned him out again.

The reason my cousins were down is because their once sister was down here for a 3 day camp that is with our church. Any way they had a program last evening and I went along to watch. It was pretty interesting. When we got home I had to mow my grandparents lawn which now it is done and I don't have to worry about it for another week. :)
