Blue Marsh Ride!

Today Daisy and I went with 6 other people up to Blue Marsh for an all day ride. It was Sharon, Andrea, Josh, Chris, Riley, Trevor and I who all went. They picked me up at my barn around 7 and we headed to Blue Marsh. We started on our ride at 8:30 and rode till lunch around 12. We headed on our way again around 1:30 in the afternoon and got back to the trailer around 5 or so. It was a great fun day!! :) :) We had great weather, lots of fun and I got sunburnt :D I plan to post pictures within the next few days! Daisy did well even though she was barefoot. We shall see how she is in the morning. I settled her in for the night and now I am off to get a shower and head to bed!

This morning I rode Daisy for about a half an hour. I took Freedom along and he did the best he ever did before ponying. We did all trotting with some walking. When we got back to the barn, I did some cleaning up and fed the horses till the farrier came. He did a barefoot trim on Daisy. I had talked to him the last time he did Daisy when he pulled her shoes and he said he would do it. So I sent him info and then he did it on her today. We shall see. She is doing great being barefoot and we shall see how this trim ends up working out!

The Rest of the Week!

Wednesday and Thursday: No riding here....I had gone for an interview on Wednesday so by the time I got home I was very tired and in no mood to do anything. I had left work early and I had a ways to drive :) Thursday I got off from work late and it was cold....really what do I expect..its winter.

Friday: The farrier came. I am using the one I used when I first got Navajo. Really really like him. I had used a different one when my horses where at Sharon and then when I moved them to this barn I was using the one they used. I liked him fine but I really liked the one I first had when I got horses so I called him up when it was time for the farrier to come again. I also figured he of all three would be the most open to trying the Wild Horse Trim (read more here: http://www.barefoothorse.com/ and here where I first heard of the Wild Horse Trim: http://thesoulofahorse.com/why-barefoot/). I am going to be sending him info via mail and next time he comes out we shall see what happens :) Anyway I groomed Daisy and loved on Freedom then headed home because my parents were going to my uncle's rehearsal dinner..his wedding was Saturday. Rachel and I did some errands and grabbed some supper then we spent the evening together.

Saturday 1/19: No riding and not much horsey time but here is what I had been up to. My Uncle's wedding. He got remarried after losing his first wife to cancer. My computer won't let me upload pictures so I will try to post some later :)
